"We Try Harder" might well be the national motto, and the sentiment of going the extra distance is certainly evident in the work ethic of Brussels-born career actress Alexandra Vandernoot. American audiences are primarily aware of Alexandra as fair maiden Tessa Noel on the sword-swinging series Highlander: The Series, but the citizens of France know and fear Alexandra as the upstart maverick who bravely bares what prissy Parisian misses are often too chicken to show. Alexandra unveils her milky jugs in a horse stable before going for a ride aboard a teenage farmhand who is cleaning up on women with all the other men fighting in WW1 in the film L'iniziazione (1987), also known as both Exploits of a Young Don Juan and What Every Frenchwoman Wants. That young stud must have a horseshoe up his butt! Alexandra didn't hesitate to get naked in both Dilemma (1990) and Strangers (1991), which made it incredibly odd that she used a body double for her nudity in Highlander: The Series. The double tried their best, but when it comes to Alexandra, in the end there is only one. Alexandra mostly worked in French films, like Le cri du silence (1997) where she brushes her teeth au naturale, and Peur Blanche (1998) where we get a really nice look at her round, rouge nips as she showers. But the crowning achievement in showing her body came in The Crown Prince (2006). Vandernoot gives her man an engraved cigarette case, but the real gift is when she straddles him and we see her Vanderbooty. Most recently, we saw her in a nightie apparently about to have sex with a geriatric gentleman in Family Business. As long as Vandernoot is in the business of taking it off onscreen, she'll have no problem feeding her family.
