Angela Schmid was born to perform. Born in Stuttgart, Germany to a music professor and a singer, she grew up around performance arts and from a young age found herself drawn to the stage. After attending drama school, she was invited to join a theater group in Hamburg. That experience helped her land a role in the movie The Life of Galileo (1961).
