It takes a certain kind of beauty to pull off a face full of heavy purple and black makeup topped with a gravity-defying mane of teased, goth-burgundy hair and still look smoking hot. In Camp Blood: The Musical (2005), newcomer Ashley Hanna is that beauty, playing the hard-as-nails counselor who gets us all, well, hard as nails. Novice thespian Ashley showed a remarkable lack of inhibition when she took on the role of rebel girl Angel in the no-budget slasher-comedy-musical--it’s not every day that a gal is asked to doff her bikini top while cheerfully chirping a tune lauding the gratuitous greatness and acquiesces with a smile. Ashley opted not to use her own singing voice for her musical numbers, however--her vocals were a result of another actress’s voice being dubbed in. Hmm, employing the use of a stunt voice yet not using a body double? Looks like Ash is an actress after Mr. Skin’s own heart.
