By 2015, the exotic ingenue scored a recurring role on the ABC Family show Chasing Life as well as the part of Shana in a movie based on the 1980s cartoon Jem and the Holograms. But what seemed to be her big break broke down when the filmmakers came under fire for casting the straight-haired, biracial Perrineau to play a character with a dark complexion and afro-textured hair. The dispute seemed moot since the film turned out to be a box office bomb. Luckily, Aurora bounced back by playing Jennifer Lawrence’s best friend in the sci-fi romance Passengers (2016). She then made her nude-comer debut in the horror flick Boo! (2019) wherein the skintastic actress exposes her nude boobs.
