Fair-haired fox Caren Kaye dispels the notion of dumb blondes. The Big Apple babe attended Carnegie Mellon University and holds a Masters and Ph.D. in Psychology. After college, the brainy beauty headed to Europe, where she performed in avant-garde theater — and drove a taxi! When the industrious ingénue returned to New York City, she co-founded a comedy troupe called the War Babies. Never one to rest on her lovely laurels, the hardworking hottie also sizzled on the small screen with guest spots on hit sitcoms (including Alice, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and Rhoda). In 1977, Caren was cast as Bambi Benton on the Happy Days (1974-1984) spinoff Blansky’s Beauties and co-starred on The Betty White Show. Also that year, she appeared in the R-rated thriller Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977) starring Diane Keaton and Tuesday Weld. The busy cutie bounced back to the boob tube to star in the sitcoms Who’s Watching the Kids? (1978) and It’s Your Move (1984-1985). Of course, here at Skin Central, we’re partial to Caren’s part in the teen sex comedy My Tutor (1983).
