A vision of exquisite refinement and feline sensuality, British actress Cathy Tyson is the daughter of a Black lawyer from Trinidad and a white social worker for England. Born in Kingston-upon-Thames, London, England, Cathy moved to Liverpool, where she joined the Everyman Youth Theatre as a child. Too cool for school, Cathy quit college at seventeen to pursue a career at the Everyman Theatre for adults, and within two years, she graduated to a position with the Royal Shakespeare Company. But it was in the company of gritty Brit screen star Bob Hoskins as a wistful, jaded, brave, and jilted sex worker in Neil Jordan's Mona Lisa (1986) that Cathy achieved everlasting renown. She didn't show her naked naughty bits, but she did don a very revealing bondage number and let us gaze upon her long, hairless legs in all their glory.
