With a prominent nose pointed directly toward passion, teeth bared in a gritty full-mouth grin, a wild mane of untamable thick black hair, flashing dark eyes that flare with heightened emotions, and a pair of expertly tweezed brows straining to meld one into the other, it’s easy to guess what part of the world spawned Daphna Kastner. Canada-born Daphna is as intellectually ambitious as she is bodily blessed, and she is credited with having written many of her leading roles, including Evixion (1986), Crack Me Up (1991), Lana in Love (1991) and Spanish Fly (1998). In Julia Has Two Lovers (1991), Kastner wrote a part for her chest twins, who rise above the bubbly suds as their owner soaks in the tub and chats on the phone.
