The daughter of economist Haroldo Bruce Evelyn and sociologist Suzana Sochaczewski Evelyn, Deborah was born in Rio De Janeiro and would began acting at just seventeen years of age (a profession also held by her brother Carlos). A staple of Brazilian television and film since the 1980s, Deborah is probably most know for her time on the telenovela Celebrity (2003-2004), but has racked up an impressive amount of credits that include Pages of Life (2006), JK (2006), Watercolors of Love (2009-2010), Tangled Hearts (2013), A Time to Love (2017-2018), Diminuta (2018), and her latest, the HBO Max series Madam Beja (2026).
