It’s not a distinction most would cherish, but at least it got this British babe some attention from a Beatle. The cute one, Paul McCartney, supposedly thought of Eleanor Bron when composing his lament “Eleanor Rigby.” There is sadness about this pretty brunette. She turned down the part of Emma Peel in the hit series The Avengers, though she did land a role in the swinging ’60s comedy Bedazzled (1967). While Raquel Welch played Lust, it was Eleanor’s character who flashed her rack, well, a body double’s rack. Oh, look at all the lonely peep-holes.
