The baguette-raising, beret-twirling charms of the French are well documented. But even in the realm of the randy French actresses, Élodie Bouchez manages to stand legs apart from the rest. Born in Montreuil-sous-Bois, Seine-Saint-Denis, Île-de-France, France, Élodie got her start in 1989 in the series Les compagnons de l'aventure. She went on the appear in Stan the Flasher (1990), the romance The Stolen Diary (1992), and the TV movie La lettre inachevée (1993). But American audiences know her best from the Barbarella (1968) homage CQ (2001), in which the lovely lady is stark raving nude, complete with le bush. But outside of some indie exposure in the states, like Shooting Vegetarians (2000), this is one French treat best enjoyed in her native land.
