She attended Grinnell College, where she starred in several school stage productions. After Emily graduated, she debuted with a bang, taking the lead as the feisty little redhead in The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999). As Rachel, she had telekinetic powers and an earthbound beauty that was riveting to watch. The movie garnered attention for the young actress, and she subsequently landed a part opposite Jeff Daniels in Chasing Sleep (2000), which featured her first ever foray into the wonderful world of skin.
