We're all about nude scenes here at Mr. Skin, but it's not just us who are obsessed with nude scenes. Regular people and Hollywood are obsessed with nude scenes, too. I mean, clearly, otherwise we wouldn't have a business. But I am speaking more specifically than that. Some TV shows and movies have scenes that are about nudity.
Naked Acts
This is the film that inspired this article. I finally got around to watching Naked Acts, a 1997 indie film that centers around an actress psyching herself up to do a nude scene. Jake-Ann Jones plays an aspiring actress who was the daughter of a blaxploitation star. She is cast in a movie, but the film has a nude scene. She's terrified to go nude due to a complicated relationship with her body, but she wants the role. What's a girl to do?
Watch this scene in which Jake-Ann forces herself to get comfortable. Jake-Ann learns to confront her fears by stepping outside of her comfort zone - and outside of her clothes. She strips down to nothing for a solo photoshoot to get her more comfortable with doing Naked Acts.

In this 2008 comedy from Kevin Smith, Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks play roommates who venture into making porn to pay their bills. Hey, it's a lucrative business! We see a series of porn shoots, including this one where Katie Morgan reveals her rack as she plays a topless barista. I've heard of a cream top - but what about a topless babe who makes you cream?! In Gia, Angelina Jolie plays the infamous bad girl model. She also had this very gratuitous nude photoshoot. She stays late for a night shoot that inspires one of the women watching to get involved. How could you not when she's posing nude like this:
The Naked Director
This creative Japanese series is based on a true story, following Toru Muranishi, who directed softcore scenes for Japanese skinema for decades. We see A LOT of porno shoots, especially ones starring the minx Misato Morita, who acts as a porn muse. We see the camera get up close and very personal with Misato's mams as she poses for the camera.
She's not the only one - far from it. One of my favorite scenes includes two babes in wrestling singlets who tumble around on the ground until their ta-ta's fall out of their outfits. I'd love to pin these ladies!
The Deuce
Finally, a show about porn is bound to have a million nude scenes. There were! And there were plenty of scenes about the filming of the nude scenes and about actors' reservations about certain things they were asked to do while nude. Maggie Gyllenhaal is a standout as a porn icon who acts and directs nude scenes.
The series also provided us with plenty of looks at Emily Meade's pair. She was such a pro as a porn actress, willing to do whatever for the camera.
