Kaoru Mizuki knew to answer director Teruo Ishii’s call when he approached her to cast in his Screwed (1998). The infamous director of Audition (1999) based this surreal tale on a famous manga. The story of a jealous cartoonist finds Kaoru in the role of Woman Doctor, and she’s good for what ails you rolling around naked in bed. Talk about a Dr. Feelgood!
