Scottish actress Katy Murphy comes from a working class family. Her father was a construction worker and she followed in her older brother’s footsteps going to college at Glasgow University. It was during her time in college that she became active in the theatre group and found a love of acting. During college she began working on the stage including appearing some Shakespeare works.
