Singer, songwriter, and dancer Kehlani Parrish first hit the spotlight as a member if the teen group Poplyfe. Growing up, they attended the Oakland School For The Arts for ballet and modern dance, but a knee injury curtailed their dreams of studying dance at Juilliard and shifted the focus to singing.
