Lisa Ling first created a generation of horndogs as anchor for the in-school news provider Channel One. Then she gave plenty of housewives some fodder for lesbian fantasies as the token Young Gal among the yentas chatting away on ABC’s daytime talker The View. Both of those jobs passed as “journalism,” but Lisa’s never really broken a story. Instead, she’s broken our hearts by remaining fairly serious about only using her exquisite Asian ass for news coverage (despite an adorable guest appearance on the TV series Ed). But since she left The View in 2002 to serve as host of National Geographic Explorer, maybe we’ll get to see her drop her blouse and go native someday.
