Lynn Carlin made her debut in the original indie director John Cassavetes’s Faces (1968), a realistic look at divorce and its aftermath, and scored an Oscar nomination for her work. Not that anyone would want to divorce beautiful Lynn, who then took to the boob tube with guest spots on Marcus Welbey, M.D. and The Bold Ones: The Protectors. Lynn was born into the movie business. She is a Los Angeles native, her mom was a popular socialite, and her dad was a Hollywood business manager. Lynn was actually working as a secretary for Robert Altman when she met Cassavetes who was writing the script for Faces. Cassavetes would have her read lines for him and thought she would be great for the part. Lynn was fired by Altman but landed the part in Faces and never looked back. Over the next 30 years, Lynn would appear in more than 60 movies and TV shows. Though she never got naked, she did strip in Taking Off (1971), an early comedy by director Milos Forman. Lynn took off her bra, but her hands hid the hooters. Lynn shows some tits and ass in Faces when she passes out and is carried into another room. While being carried, her dress nearly falls off showing her bare ass and dark nipples. She continued on TV recurring in the series The Waltons, which sadly echoed her family-oriented lack of skin. Her last appearance was on Murder, She Wrote in the late ‘80s, but the real mystery is why this cutie never showed any skin.
