Performer, director, screenwriter - multihyphenate Mar got her start studying Art History and Cinema in Barcelona and has been able to channel her expertise into a career in pornography and experimental film. After teaming up with Maria Lorente, Juno Alvarez, and Yaiza de Lamo for their documentary short DIYSEX in 2020, Mar joined them again in 2024 for thei full length documentary feature La revolución de las musas, which explores the role of sexworkes in Western Art. That’s where we got our first glimpse of Mar in the raw - she goes completely nude to recreate the famous 19th century painting The Pearl and the Wave and then bares her breasts twice more in separate scenes. Mar says her dream is to “break the social and economic barrier that exists between ‘conventional’ cinema and erotic cinema” and that’s a goal Mr. Skin can get behind!
