That cute, upturned nose is fit for indie cinema, but Mel Gorham’s massive melons are ripe for the multiplex--as this Latina cutie has shown with a wide-ranging career. She started out in the high profile films Awakenings (1990) and Carlito’s Way (1993), but director Wayne Wang has showcased her in plenty of acclaimed low-budget films. Mel’s first Wang work was in Smoke (1996), but she really got us working our wangs when she went topless as the same character in Blue in the Face (1995). Mel’s worked steadily ever since, but it was up to Wang to give her another sexy showcase in The Center of the World (2001).
