The world has lost another busty icon of the 70s and 80s with the death of Loni Anderson over the weekend. The former TV star passed away just a few days shy of her 80th birthday Sunday. and though she never went nude, the well-endowed enchantress was considered one of the era’s hottest celebs.
It all started when Loni, a model from Minnesota who began her career in theater, got her first small screen gig playing a beauty pageant winner in an episode of the series S.W.A.T. in 1975. Loni’s perfect proportions popped up on a few other shows like Barnaby Jones, The Love Boat, and The Incredible Hulk - the latter of which had she and her protruding nips posing for photos in a cleavage-baring karate uniform.

Then in 1978, Loni landed the breakthrough role of Jennifer Marlowe on the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati. Dying her hair blonde to play the savvy receptionist who was as smart as she was drop dead gorgeous, Loni became an instant sex symbol and earned herself two Emmy nominations and three Golden Globe noms. While the show may have been set in a radio station, there’s no doubt that Loni’s fetching face and knockout body were meant to be seen on the screen.
She became a tabloid regular thanks to her tumultuous marriage to Burt Reynolds, and in 1983 her mustachioed man gave us our best look at Loni’s lingerie-clad kahunas in the critically panned comedy Stroker Ace. The top down look at Loni’s overspilling tatas will turn you into a stroker, too!

Loni continued to act almost up until her death, memorably portraying fellow platinum pinup Jayne Mansfield in a 1980 TV biopic, Denise Richard’s mom on the soapy series Melrose Place (1996), and making a cameo in A Night at the Roxbury (1998). Loni will be forever be remembered for having the most beautiful set of Minnesota twins to have ever been kept under wraps!
