One of the “It girls” of the 1960s, doe-eyed doll Marianne Faithfull has passed away at the age of 78.

Her story is one of legend. She was discovered as a teen at a party for the Rolling Stones and immediately started making headlines, first for her recording of the tender ballad “As Tears Go By” and then for her romantic relationship with Mick Jagger.

By the late sixties, she had begun carving out a career in film, making her acting and nude debut in 1967’s I'll Never Forget What's 'is Name. Eight minutes in, she tells Oliver Reed she can’t come out of the bathroom because she’s “stark naked” and about to step into the bathtub. Though her back is to the camera, it catches a quick bit of her left tit as she turns to drop her bra.

Marianne was much more adventurous in her next film The Girl on a Motorcycle (1968). In addition to a trip of topless scenes, Marianne struts all three of her bare Bs around a bedroom. Who wouldn’t want to give this girl a ride?

Sadly, the 70s had the Brit beauty struggling with personal issues like eating disorders and drug addiction instead of going nude on screen. But she eventually ended up returning to music and acting for the next four decades before her death (she even did voice work for 2021’s Dune: Part One.)
We’ve been Faithfull fans of Marianne all this time and glad we have this amazing nudity to remember her by.
