She was a rising British star in the ’80s, but Samantha Bond’s career sank after the Monty Pythonesque Erik the Viking (1989) failed to become an international hit. Fortunately, Samantha got a second chance to take over the world when she was cast as the new Miss Moneypenny opposite Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond. Samantha brought more than the Bond name to the new series with GoldenEye (1995), as her take on M’s perpetually lovestruck secretary makes the horny little lady seem almost predatory. She sports the leer of a genuine Bond villain in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999), and Die Another Day (2002). Samantha also got her new fans leering when she bundled herself into corsets for a BBC production of Jane Austen’s Emma (1997). She still hasn’t prompted any double oh’s with a proper nude scene, but Samantha’s turn in Yes (2004) puts her in enough sexy outfits to elicit a double “Oh, yeah!”
