Shannon Tweed burst onto the skinematic scene the old fashioned way: with a spread in Playboy back in November 1981. (Now there's a collector's issue!) Not surprisingly, Tweed landed the coveted Playmate of the Year title, as well as a spot in Hugh Hefner's bed shortly thereafter. Although the fling with Hef didn't last and she's since gone on to a long and tongue-tastic relationship with Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, Shannon's then-budding acting career certainly has panned out prodigiously. In 1982 she landed the role of Diana Hunter on the long-running hit soap opera Falcon Crest and has since appeared in several series, including Days of Our Lives, Fly By Night, and as the star of HBO's 1st and Ten. Shannon's also managed to appear in over sixty feature films, beginning with Of Unknown Origin in 1983. The better part of her filmography features rather scandalous features, namely erotic thrillers like The Firing Line (1988), In the Cold of the Night (1989), Sexual Response (1992), Indecent Behavior (1993), Illicit Dreams (1994), and Naked Lies (1998). Naturally, for some classic skinematic nudity, one need look no further than her pantheon of Playboy videos. Regardless, we'd be remiss in not mentioning 1999's straight-to-video classic Scandalous Behavior, in which Shannon engages in what is rumored to be some not-so-simulated sex. Don't miss it--because she doesn't! Although it's been many years since Shannon shed her Tweed jacket on screen, she still gets us going.
