A sequel is in the works, and they have added another sexy blond to the cast.

The Housemaid was a huge hit at the box office. It opened during the holidays and it quickly became one of the highest-grossing movies of 2025 - in just a month! How could Lionsgate not fund a sequel to such a hit? The movie itself is based on a book series by Frieda McFadden called the Housemaid series. The next movie is going to be based on her book The Housemaid's Secret, and Paul Feig will return to direct this cast of gorgeous girls.
In The Housemaid's Secret, Sweeney will once again play Millie, the maid who becomes a housekeeper for a woman she is not allowed to see. She can't help herself! She gets curious and uncovers that there is a locked door that holds the secrets of both her boss and her threatening life. Kirsten Dunst is going to that mysterious woman with secrets to uncover...and clothes to uncover!
Dunst is an excellent choice to add to the cast. Dunst is a beautiful woman who is also a fantastic actress. For someone who has been acting since she was a child, she seems surprisingly cool and down-to-Earth. Kirsten gives major girl-next-door vibes, but with a rack meant for a pornstar.
She most recently starred in Roofman, but we've adored her in so many award-winning and critically acclaimed roles. From a princess in Marie Antoinette to a depressed nude woman in Melancholia, she has stripped bare for several roles in all genres. Who doesn't love Dunst?
This does mean that Amanda Seyfried is likely not in the next film. No spoilers! Buuuuut Sydney Sweeney worked for her as a maid in the last movie. Now she's working for a new woman. Will the series just feature a ton of blonde babes with big tits that Sydney Sweeney has to work for?
