Nearly every young man can remember the muse-like inspiration to come from the three-breasted Lycia Naff in Total Recall (1990). The imaginative possibilities seemed endless, as far female body parts were concerned. We here at Mr. Skin took it upon ourselves to scour movieland for similar scenes featuring prosthetic boobs, and here is what we’ve found. Shawna Loyer’s demonic and knife-weilding cut kicks us off with a quick flash of those ginormous gazongas in 13 Ghosts (2001). From Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde (1995) Sean Young’s deflating chests disrupts her man’s libido. Michelle Pfeiffer in A Thousand Acres (1997) has a prosthetically covered left breast, leaving most to wonder if the right is equally as fake. TV show Nip/Tuck, a seeming treasure trove of prosthetic and artificial body enhancements, gives us this quick glimpse of a breast bitten by a dog. Elizabeth Perkins prosthetic boobies from Weeds don’t look so perky here, but we can rest assured that the reality of what lies beneath can be seen elsewhere. Courtney Peldon dangles some extremely durable and pierced bouncers for her family in a fit of outrage in the film Say It Isn’t So from 2001. And Erin Daniels shows us the prostheticized scars of a mastectomy on her left breast while maintaining all the glory of her right in The L Word. Sometimes serious, sometimes goofy, and sometimes scary, prosthetics get used to mold the things we love most in movies, and these have been all the best mammary modifiers we could find.
