Are you hungry for Hungarian honey Catherine Schell? Of course you are. Born on July 17, 1944, in Budapest, Catherine had a traumatic upbringing. At the start of World War II, her parents' estates were seized by Nazis and they were forced to flee Hungary and seek asylum in Austria. In 1950, Catherine's family moved to the United States, where her father became an American citizen. Catherine initially entered a convent school in New York City, but then (thankfully) her family moved to Germany, where Catherine developed an interest in the performing arts. Catherine attended the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts before embarking on her entertainment career. Some of her earliest credits include works such as Lana, Queen of the Amazons (1964), Traitor's Gate (1964), Hell Is Empty (1967), Assignment K (1968), Amsterdam Affair (1968), Moon Zero Two (1969), and On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969). Her debut in Lana, Queen of the Amazons marks her sole brief skin onscreen, though the small-breasted brunette does flash some bush, so it’s not all for naught. She’s best known for her slapstick turns in The Return of the Pink Panther (1975) and Space: 1899 (2004). Some of her other more recent onscreen credits include works such as The March (1990), Wish Me Luck (1990), Lovejoy (1991), Moon and Son (1992), Piccolo grande amore (1993), The Wimbledon Poisoner (1994), Tales of Mystery and Imagination (1995), The Knock (1996), and Dracula (2020). She now runs a hotel in France. Hopefully it’s no-tell motel.
