Florence Thomassin says if she hadn’t gone into the entertainment industry, she would have been a dog groomer. And while Mr. Skin is fairly positive there are four-legged furries out there who are disappointed, he is particularly grateful the Paris-born Frenchie went with being an actress—and, that she hasn’t been afraid to show some nudity to audiences while being said actress. Some of her first skin scenes appeared in 1995’s Ainsi soient-elles, the film actually opening with Florence rolling around naked in wet paint, creating art on a canvas with her poked nipples, pert ass, and what may even be her kitty—but that could just be paint, too. She’s also featured flashing her flesh in multiple other scenes in the flick (and yes, you do get to see everything without paint). She flashes nip as Marion Menard in Beaumarchais the Scoundrel (1996); shows a bit of breast as Lise in Le plaisir (et ses petits tracas) (1998), aka Pleasure (And Its Little Inconveniences); reveals her rear as Norma in Paddy (1999); and her character Sarah gives fairly good boob in Mesrine: Killer Instinct (2008). Florence was also nominated for a Best Supporting Actress César (the equivalent of an Oscar) for her role as Béatrice in A Matter of Taste (2000), and was the narrator you hear in the Oscar-nominated French/American collab film A Very Long Engagement (2004) with Audrey Tautou and Jodie Foster. On TV, the versatile vixen has a strong mini-series game, having played Lucienne Vernay in Félix Leclerc (2005); Anne in La silence de l’épervier (2008); Paula in Terre de lumiére (2008); Rita in Tiger Lily, quatre femmes dans la vie(2013); and Annabelle in Malaterra (2015).
