Already on her third marriage, Brazilian beauty Mônica may not be the luckiest when it comes to love, but she has definitely had lots of luck career-wise, starting with her film debut in the 1979 comedy Lerfá Mú. Since then, she’s become quite the familiar face both on stage and in the world of telenovelas. Some of Mônica’s most memorable small screen work includes Elas por Elas (1982), Sol de Verão (1982-1983), Rainha da Sucata (1990), Estrela-Guia (2001), Belíssima (2005-2006), Tangled Hearts (2013), and Apocalypse (2017-2018), but her presence felt - and seen -worldwide when she appeared in the soapy Brazilian series Scars of Beauty from HBO Max in 2025. She turns up as the mother of Julia Stockler’s character and the two have a tense moment by the pool that results in Julia shoving Mônica into the water! It may not be the warmest of maternal moments but with both ladies serving up their curves in sexy tops, we have to admit we see the family resemblance!
