Nichelle Nichols Sexy

Forever linked to her trailblazing role as the sexy Lt. Uhura on the original Star Trek (1966) series, Nichelle Nichols’s show-business career began in her teens. She was discovered by jazz legend Duke Ellington, who brought her on tour with him as a singer and dancer. In the 1960s, the 35-23-37 knockout worked as a glamor model and made appearances on shows like The Lieutenant (1964) and Tarzan (1966) before she was cast as the first Black lead actress on television in Star Trek. Once she was on the show, Nichelle continued to break barriers, sharing TV’s first interracial kiss with the Esperanto-speaking Ukrainian-Canadian Jewish actor William Shatner. In 1966, Nichelle was ready to leave Star Trek because of the racist death threats that were constantly sent to her, but she was persuaded by civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. to stay on the show. She never fully disrobed in space, but she definitely wore some clingy outfits that allowed us to admire her hourglass figure. Nichelle continues to act, appearing on Futurama (2000), Heroes (2007), Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster (2010), The Young And The Restless (2016), Downward Dog (2017), and Sharknado 5: Global Swimming (2017). She even went back to her trekkie roots on Star Trek: Of Gods and Men (2007), a wonderful return. In addition to her long and illustrious acting career, Nichelle has also authored several books and worked as an astronaut recruiter for NASA. The only thing Nichelle hasn’t done, unfortunately, is uncloak her photon torpedoes.
