Sunset Song (2015)

Legendary British filmmaker Terence Davies adapts Lewis Grassic Gibbon’s classic novel—a novel purportedly very near and dear to his heart—into a dark yet lyrical epic film with Sunset Song (2015), the follow up to his somewhat divisive previous feature, The Deep Blue Sea (2011). Following the life of a Scottish farm girl, this heart wrenching story tells of a determined search for independence just a bit before the dawn of World War I—which is to say a time when independence did not come so easily for young Scottish farm girls. Manchester native and total cutie Agyness Deyn stars as Chris Guthrie in the film, and gets naked a solid handful of times throughout the film—changing clothes in silhouette while shrouded in darkness in one instance, stripping down out of her nightgown in front of a mirror in another (and revealing a hot, massive bush in the process)—all of which are guaranteed to keep your hands full for, well, certain reasons.
