Taking Tiger Mountain: Revisited (2019)

Back in 1983, the late great Bill Paxton landed his first leading role in a film called Taking Tiger Mountain, an experimental art project from Tom Huckabee and Kent Smith, based on Albert Camus’s The Stranger. Recorded with no sound at first, the film was turned into a sci-fi drama influenced by Blade Runner and had sound added later, and in 2019 Huckabee re-edited the film and released an alternate cut that’s now found its way onto Mr. Skin. Set in a dystopian version of Wales that runs on goverment-sanctioned prostitution, the film follows a draft dodger named Billy Hampton (Paxton) who arrives in town to enjoy the spoils of the much-hyped sex trade, or so he thinks. He’s really been sent by a group of militant feminists who have brainwashed him into being an assassin so he can kill a local minister and help take down the patriarchy. But he tries to have a good time anyway, and ends up having sex with both Judy Church and Barbara Clifton, two nudecomers who bare all in their respective scenes. Judy’s encounter with Bill even has her going down on him for real! You’ll want to revisit this one over and over again!
